Last week, some of the most stylish African celebrities, influencers, and style stars stepped out in a range of exquisitely tailored looks as they stepped out for movie premieres, birthday parties and weddings respectively. The best dressed looks were so glamorous we almost believed the pandemic was officially over. Soon, soon, fingers crossed.
From casual to formal events, the stars proved yet again that details, cut, and fit remain the most important elements of style. In Nigeria, celebrities and fashion influencers kept their ensembles elegant and edgy in a variety of fashion-forward looks. Actress Sharon Ooja celebrated her 30th birthday in a multi-colored beaded dress that showed off her curves as she channeled old Hollywood glamour in a platinum blonde curly hairstyle. Nollywood star Nse Ikpe Etim, on the other hand, served us the perfect spring vibe we didn’t know we were missing in a custom floral 3-piece suit by LadyBeellionaire. She wore the look as she attended The Wait movie premiere in Lagos.
Over in Ghana, Joselyn Dumas kept things casual in an elevated white shirt and blue denim look as she posed with a bunch of shopping bags, in true fashionista style. The addition of an Ankara corset which featured suspenders and peplum details brought all the rave to an otherwise simple look.
South and East African celebrities also came through in different shades of stylish looks that were unapologetically ravishing.
The looks shared by African celebrities and fashion influencers were nothing short of chic, edgy, and glamorous and it’s safe to say that we are, as usual, living vicariously through them. The top Stylish African Fashion influencer Instagram.
